Cloud Architecture Overview

Single Public IP Gateway

The foundation of vLAB's architecture is a single, unified entry point that all students use to access the system. This simplifies connectivity and eliminates the complexity of managing multiple access points.

Instead of requiring students to remember different URLs or IP addresses for different services, everything is accessible through one consistent address. This makes the system incredibly user-friendly, especially for younger students or those new to cloud computing.

Smart Traffic Routing

Our intelligent routing system automatically directs each request to the appropriate backend service based on the URL path, headers, and other request characteristics. This happens transparently and instantly.

Whether a student is accessing a Python coding environment, a MySQL database, a Docker container, or a web application, our system knows exactly where to route the traffic. This smart routing enables multiple diverse services to coexist on the same infrastructure without conflicts.

Encrypted Private Network

Behind the public gateway lies our secure private network, where all administrative and management traffic flows. This network is completely isolated from the public internet and accessible only through encrypted connections.

Teachers and IT administrators can safely manage the entire vLAB infrastructure through this secure channel. All communication is encrypted end-to-end, and access is strictly controlled through multi-factor authentication and role-based permissions.

Unified Management Dashboard

The control center of vLAB is our powerful, browser-based management dashboard. This single interface allows IT administrators to monitor, configure, and manage all aspects of the vLAB infrastructure from anywhere.

From provisioning new servers to monitoring resource usage, from managing user accounts to configuring security policies, everything can be done through this intuitive web interface. No command-line knowledge required, though advanced users can also access SSH for deeper configuration.
